About
WELCOME!
At Clara Lynch Professional Childcare, I am an OFSTED Outstanding childminder who is dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, stimulating, caring, happy and welcoming environment for all children within a home setting.
I have over 16 years experience in childcare and hold a First Class Honours degree in Early Childhood Studies. I am delighted to have been graded Outstanding by Ofsted in all inspections, the most recent being in 2022. I am also a recently-qualified Special Educational Needs Coordinator.
The children learn through play, with activities and resources carefully selected in order to meet all of the objectives of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. This ensures that each child reaches their own developmental milestones at their own pace. This is done through keeping the child’s best interest in mind at all times, close observation and allowing for hands-on, experiential learning and creating targeted plans, when required.

Located close to Southend Town Centre, the Civic Centre, Southend Hospital and train stations, Southend Childminding is in a perfectly central position for people working in Southend or commuting into London.
On a daily basis, I take the children out on adventures. We visit playgroups, the library, parks, beach, farms, bluebell woods and Belfairs Woods, as well as enjoying socialising with children from other settings, thus allowing the children to form friendships and secure play-dates.

We really enjoy making good use of our local environment and exploring the natural beauty on our doorstep. We also visit other places of interest such as Sea Life Adventure, the local museum and art gallery, as well as taking trips on various forms of transport, including the pier train.
We often meet up with one or two local childminders so that the children get to make those social connections, fire up their imaginations with role play and make friends with whom they can build firm friendships. We also video call other settings to make contact and see our friends that way, which is great fun.

Our Mission
At Clara Lynch Professional Childcare, our mission consists of providing a warm, loving and nurturing environment where children feel safe, included and valued. This professional Southend childminding service offers various activities that are specifically designed to encourage each unique child’s growth. We love music and creating rhyme and rhythm using the array of instruments, piano and drums. We are also very keen on listening to and identifying birds on our walks, spotting which tree specific leaves belong to, naming and pondering the different functions and parts of our bodies such as the digestive system, respiration and other interesting bodily functions, separating and identifying different shells and seaweeds. But, our absolute favourite activity at the moment is scientific experiments, some of which you will see on the Instagram feed below. Through cooperative play and creative activities, kids reach their social, emotional and physical milestones naturally and with ease. Their imaginations run wild and their creativity knows no bounds.
